Board Member

Dr. Angeline is a teacher by profession, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer of Applied Organic Chemistry at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST). She holds a PhD in Phytochemistry earned through a collaborative program between Maseno University (Kenya) and the University of Bonn (Germany), a Master of Science from the University of Dar es Salaam, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nairobi.

Her research interest lies in unraveling the chemistry of medicinal plants, with a focus on characterization and bioassay analysis of isolated phytochemicals. She is a passionate advocate for the conservation of plant genetic resources, particularly those with therapeutic value, recognizing their importance for both traditional medicine and modern pharmaceutical development.

Beyond academia, Dr. Angeline is an active member of several professional bodies and a staunch Christian. She serves faithfully in the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), where she holds the position of Lay Secretary of the Synod of Maseno West Diocese. She is also a member of the Provincial Synod of the Anglican Church of Kenya, contributing her leadership and organizational skills to the broader church governance structures.

Her unique combination of scientific expertise, commitment to conservation, and dedicated church leadership brings a distinctive and valuable perspective to the ADS Nyanza Board of Directors.
