The ACK Development Services Nyanza Region Limited (ADS- Nyanza) is a Non-profit joint development agency of the Six Anglican Church of Kenya Dioceses of Maseno South, Maseno West, Southern Nyanza, Bondo, Maseno East and Upper Southern Nyanza. With a rich history of community development work, the organization seeks to improve the quality of life of the rural communities in Nyanza and achieve the fullness of life and the integrity of creation through sustainable, participatory, and integrated community development projects. ADS – Nyanza seeks to hire qualified, experienced personnel to fill the following position. Project Coordinator Household Economic Strengthening

Job Summary

The project coordinator works to improve the economic livelihood of targeted communities through market access facilitation, farmer organization strengthening, financial access facilitation, business development provision, savings methodologies facilitation, Monitoring, and providing oversight to the field operations, including supervising field project officers.

Reports To

The Programs Manager Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor of Science – Agri Business Option or Entrepreneurship from a University recognized by the Commission of Higher A postgraduate qualification in these disciplines and ICT will be an added advantage.
  2. At least 5 years experience in an equivalent position
  3. Substantial experience working in partnerships, including county governments, civil society, donors, and local community structures at senior levels of
  4. Ability to analyze and monitor trends, opportunities, and challenges related to market linkages and economic strengthening to continuously refine and improve intervention
  5. Proven experience designing evidence-based household economic strengthening approaches, including local value chain development, climate-smart agriculture, and household economic development targeting the most vulnerable
  6. Proven experience providing technical oversight for implementing all economic strengthening activities with county project teams and
  7. Experience coordinating with Household Economic Strengthening (HES) staff and County teams to conduct household vulnerability assessments and develop and implement accurate household case management plans informed by their vulnerability
  8. Ensure high-quality training facilitation and systematic post-training supportive supervision and mentoring of implementing staff in
  9. Competency in driving with a valid driver’s license Class A1, A2, and/or B
  10. Attention to detail, highly systematic and ordered, and high affinity for maintaining standards and consistency in program
